A favorite snack anywhere is Mexico is fruit sprinkled with chili powder, salt, and lime. I have to admit that it took years to acquire the taste for chili powder on fruit but I really like it now.

Cut up what ever fruit you have on hand, apples, pineapple, watermelon or anything else and put as much chili powder as you can stand. Then squirt lime all over the fruit and enjoy. You can also squirt hot sauce on your fruit.

Our favorite brand of chili powder is Tajin which is a blend of dried chiles mixed with salt. Salsa Huichol also goes well with fruit.

On street corners throughout Mexico, you will find vendors selling bags of cut-up fruit. You sprinkle chili powder, lime, and salt to taste on your fruit and eat it straight from the bag with a fork.
